This is my personal favourite photo from a recent shoot for Debbie Leno, a local hair and makeup artist. Our model for the day, despite never having modelled before, was Amy. I think she did a wonderful job and we had a lot of fun working on different looks.
As you may know, Lorna works for a local charity, Y Services, which works with young people in the area. Charities are always looking to get donations to help them provide the support and facilities needed.
What better way to raise some funds than with a sponsored event which also happens to be something you have always wanted to do anyway? So here is Lorna, looking rather small as she abseils down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.
She raised over £500 for Y Services and wanted to say a big Thank You! to everyone who sponsored her.
I think it is fairly safe to say that Darryl was quite comfortable in front of the camera, and whilst Coral was a little more nervous to begin with it didn’t take her long to get in to the swing of things and have some fun.
Having worked with Miriam King on a recent portrait shoot she asked me if I would like to work with her again on some more portraits to showcase her hair and makeup. Of course I had to say yes, and now I can share a few examples of her work. Our lovely model for the day was Jess.
Lorna and I were invited to the Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover this week, to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of our friends Emma and John.
Though I was not there to photograph the renewal of their vows, I thought I would take along my camera anyway. Though I don’t have the long lenses a nature photographer would have I figured I could still capture some interesting shots of the birds in flight.
If you would like to find out more about the Hawk Conservancy Trust and support their wonderful work, check out their web site: http://www.hawk-conservancy.org
So here are just a couple of the shots I managed to capture.
